The organizers of the COMTRANS International Commercial Vehicle Auto Show are ITEMF Expo and OAR (The Association of Russian Automakers). The Exhibition is included in the official calendar of automotive transport exhibitions of the International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (OICA) and is held biennially. COMTRANS is supported by the Ministry of Trade and Industries Russian Federation, the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation and the Association of European Businesses (AEB).
Being a leading international exhibition of commercial vehicle in the CIS and the countries of Eastern Europe, COMTRANS enables the top Russian and international manufacturers to demonstrate their achievements in Crocus Expo - the largest exhibition venue in Eastern Europe. The Exhibition provides an opportunity to cover 77 Russian regions and 49 countries during the period of its work.

Participants: more than 200 companies from 18 countries. 75% - representatives of commercial automotive vehicles manufacturers, 67% - Russian companies.
Visitors (based on the statistics of 2015): more than 15 000 specialists from 49 countries, 92% - Russian and 8% - foreign visitors. 26% - owners and heads of companies.
According to the survey conducted among the visitors of COMTRANS in 2015, the Exhibition was attended predominantly by companies’ decision makers – their share constituted 51% of all the sectoral experts who visited the event. More than 60% of specialists visited COMTRANS in 2015 with the intention to conclude business contracts from 1,000,000 rubles and more, more than 15% of business contracts were concluded directly at the exhibition.

Press Day / VIP Day will be held on the 4th of September (only media VIP guests are permitted).
Under the program of the Press Day one can capture the brightest specialties of commercial automotive vehicles and get acquainted with the announcements from the leading sectoral representatives. The schedule of the press conference will be available on the website of the Exhibition from the 3rd of July.

The Opening Ceremony of the Exhibition will take place on the 5th of September, at 12 a.m.
The officials of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Trade and Industries of the Russian Federation, State Duma of the Russian Federation, OICA are invited to speak at the Opening Ceremony.

Business program of the COMTRANS Exhibition
The COMTRANS Exhibition will for the first time host The Moscow Commercial Vehicle Summit (September 5-6).
The aim of the event is to establish a unique business platform, where:
1. Public officials disclose the information concerning the current status, modifications made and announce the measures of governmental support.
2. A company’s top managers announce the strategies and plans of their company
3. Market players discuss relevant issues.
The co-organizer of the Exhibition is the Association of European Business (AEB) in Russia powered by the Association of Russian Automakers (OAR) and the International Road Transport Union (IRU).
The event is divided into two thematic parts:
The 1st day (September 5, Tuesday) is devoted to trucks (freight traffic, trucks manufacturers, logistics services, cargo vehicles management) - «cargo vehicles day».
The 2nd day (September 6, Wednesday) is focused on the passenger automotive transport (buses manufacturers, LCV, passenger traffic, passenger vehicles management) – «passenger vehicles day».
The professional associations (OICA, OAR, RAS, Russian Engineering Union, IRU) and the governmental structures (Ministry of Trade and Industries, Ministry of Transport, the Committee of Transport of the State Duma of the Russian Federation) are invited to participate in the Summit.
The participation in the business program will provide the specialists and expert in the sphere of the commercial transport industry as well as the public officials with an opportunity to discuss relevant issues, express their point of view and become a part of the professional business community.

The crucial event under the COMTRANS Exhibition is the 17th annual award ceremony of the “Best Commercial Vehicle of the Year in Russia” contest. 
The ceremony will be held on the 4th of September, 2017, at 18:30.
The “Best Commercial Vehicle of the Year in Russia” contest is an annual non-profit event. It is aimed at identifying, on the basis of the expert opinion of the Jury, the best commercial vehicle in Russia in the following nominations: Truck of the year / Trailer of the year / Bus of the year / Trailer/semitrailer of the year / Prospect of the year / Person of the year / Special Award. The Jury of the contest consists of the prominent journalists of the specialized Russian editions covering the automotive transport sphere. The author of the contest’s concept and the president of the jury is Alexander Solntsev – the editor-in-chief of the ComTrans magazine.
